Best Wishes. . .

. . . for a great new year! Today is my last day here in Georgia. This afternoon my parents will accompany me to Jacksonville, Florida, and then tomorrow morning at 7:00 I will fly back to St. Maarten and get ready for an exciting new semester of medical school. Hopefully, I can [...]

More pictures soon

My repaired digital camera came in the mail today, so I will try to take some pictures from now until the 31st. The bad news is that my rechargeable batteries are almost dead, and I left my recharger on that damn island. I hope to take a few pictures though.

Off to Atlanta

Tomorrow my father and I are going to Atlanta for a brief visit. I will see my really cool uncle and my sister and brother in law and some other people as well. I’ll be back in Douglas on the 30th and then I will spend New Year’s Eve in Jacksonville, FL. I fly [...]

Bah Humbug!

Just kidding. . . No, seriously. . .
Alright, alright! From my family to yours, I want to wish everyone in the freakin’ world a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, or whatever you like to celebrate today. I hope to watch some basketball and football games today. Peace!

Krishnan Rajaram (1945-2006)

Early this morning my uncle passed away due to a heart attack he suffered a few days ago. His full name is there in the title, but I happily knew him as Ram Chithappa or just simply “Ram.” I am very fortunate to have spent some time with him during my visit to Inida a [...]

A Pleasant Surprise

Yesterday when I came back to my parents’ home in Douglas, GA I was surprised by the first issue of “Check Point”, a publication for alumni who studied Germanic and Slavic languages at the University of Georgia. It was nice that the people at the German department sent this great newsletter to my parents’ address [...]

No Pictures

My digital camera is being repaired right now, so for the rest of my trip there will be no pictures taken unfortunately. It’s really too bad because I have had a great weekend in Athens, GA and am right now at my sister and brother-in-law’s house in Atlanta. This past weekend I visited some old [...]

Home Sweet Home

Got back to my hometown of Douglas, Georgia last night at around one in the morning. This was of course after a drive from Jacksonville, Florida (My Dad picked me up at the JAX airport.) Mom was excited to see me, and she told me I lost a lot of weight. Hopefully, I can gain [...]

The Beginning

I just finished the last exam (Biochemistry) of my first semester of medical school. What can I say? I’m exhausted but at the same time really happy that the first semester is over. To be honest I really don’t know what to feel now, because usually after an exam it is customary to take a [...]

7 more days. . .

Sorry that I don’t have much new to say right now, but there is one more week and in the middle of that three more exams to write. Next Tuesday I will be back in Georgia for the holidays. Next Monday after my last exam I will write a nice review and retrospect [...]
