On
our way back from India Dad and I made a short visit to our relatives
in Germany. My uncle (Dad's elder brother), aunt, and my two
cousins and their families all live in Germany. We mainly stayed
in the vicitnity of Frankfurt where my cousins live. Since
Heidelberg is close by, I was able to visit the wonderful city where I
lived as a student.

On
our first day in Germany, my dad, uncle, and I visiting Heidelberg.
For some strange reason I felt compelled to take a picture of
this weird looking statue in front of the Hauptbahnhof (main train
station). I think it is some strange camel, horse, whatever
thing, and I was always fascinated by it during my studying days some
six years ago.

The
pic of my dad and uncle is Am Heumarkt, the street where my living
quarters Gustav Radbruch Haus is (the main building in the pic.)
We had a chance to go inside and I managed to take a picture of
the outside of the actual room I lived in when I studied in Heidelberg
from 2001 till 2002.

My
dad and I hanging out at Marstallhof. I always loved coming here
and having a beer during the summer days in Heidelberg. The cafe
inside is where I would go for a hot chocolate during the winter days
and also for studying.

The
picture on the left is of the Peterskirche (Peters Church) and the
bulding on the right is the Bibliothek (library). Two very nice
buildings in Heidelberg.

Almost anywhere in Heidelberg is a scenic view. This is a pic of some of the university buildings and the castle.
